The Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care began in 1977 as Hospice of North Carolina. The more than 25 years since then have seen changes and growth in the organization, and in the availability of hospice and end of life care. Today, The Carolinas Center is the Carolinas' only statewide organization dedicated to improving care at the end of life in North and South Carolina.

Our purpose is to champion the highest quality end of life care across every stage of life, by providing leadership, partnership, education and resources.
