Our Mission
The Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care supports and promotes access to quality palliative care through the end of life.
Guiding Principles
The Center leads the advancement of hospice, palliative, and end of life care in North and South Carolina by:
- Providing ethical leadership, education, technical assistance, policy advocacy, and information resources to healthcare providers.
- Encouraging community-based efforts to improve care for the dying and their families.
- Promoting understanding and respect for diverse populations, perspectives, and preferences for end of life care.
- Promoting fundamental values of trust, integrity, accountabiltiy, and performance excellence.

All Carolinians have confidence that care at life's end will be consistent with personal preferences, and of high clinical quality.
